My Story
Hi, my name is Chelsea. After becoming a mother on November 11, 2020, I was overcome with postpartum depression, stress, and rage! I got a Cricut Maker 3 and started staying up every night learning new crafts to help relieve the daily stressors of new motherhood. Overtime I began posting my work on Tiktok @ibecraftin and started my 1st Etsy page to sell my crafts. At that time, the new mom fog was THICK and I NEEDED to see myself being the best mom I could be…so I create @meandmytot! Gaining a following or going viral was never the goal, I just needed to see myself smiling and playing with my son (Cameron). I knew eventually it would trick my mind into believing that being a stay at home parent with two degrees is totally okay. I also knew that when that day came, I would start a blog sharing all of the things I’ve learned during that time…turns out there’s alot!
I had no idea it would take 3 years for the fog to clear but my plan worked! In February 2024 I was editing a vlog of Cameron & I at our favorite indoor playground and said WOW…this should be an instructional video. In this video he decided on his own to tackle the big slide so I added text to share “How to encourage independence at indoor playgrounds”. After seeing the finished result, it was as if someone opened a window and sun came shining through! I’m not sure what happened, but seeing how much my son has grown with my influence made me feel a since of greatness I’ve never felt before. That feeling let me know I was ready to start my long awaited blog.
